Pitlochry plays host each year to Etape Caledonia, one of Britain's only closed road cycle events in May each year.
The route covers 85 miles of simply stunning Highland Perthshire scenery and locals and visitors alike participate.
At The Old Mill lnn, we’re right at the heart of the action and staying with us means you have the perfect base for the event. With 5000 riders participating in the Sportive each year, staying in Pitlochry right at the start line removes any issues in getting to the start of the race on time. We are also close to the excellent local bike shop, Escape Route, should you require any last minute tinkering to your race bike. Participating or not, this is an exciting time to visit the town with cycling enthusiasts from across Scotland, the UK and further afield attracted to take part in this professionally organised event.
